new poem ^_^ I just finished writing it so it's totally fresh ^_^ haha :P

*~The Next Eternity~*
In the next eternity, I promise to find you again.
Next time the distance between us won't go on forever.
We may have lived a thousand lives already
Without stretching far enough to reach each other.

I wonder what wars we've lived through in the past,
And how many times I've watched you slip away from me.
Each time we've been reborn in the different eras
Our existences seem closer and closer in our history.

Do you remember the time and place we made a promise
That no matter where we go or who we become in the future
We'll continue searching for each other until we're found
No matter how many eternities we may have to endure?

Even if we can't be together yet, I don't have to worry
Because you'll be waiting for me in the next eternity.

This is a new poem I wrote recently ^_^ I'm not depressed or anything but I just seem to write sad things better haha...anyway, awhile ago I sat down and brainstormed some possible poem titles and this was one of them and since I was feeling poetic a few days ago I randomly chose a title and started writing ^_^ so...without further ado, here is the poem I'll present to you :P

~Mummified Heart~

Layer upon layer my heart was encircled
Each time he hurt me the bandages tightened.
Trying to preserve the soul in its vessel,
I hid my heart away from being awakened.

I let my mummified heart float aimlessly
In this waveless sea of emotionless tears
Where your tempting whispers couldn't reach
Or draw me into the love that I fear.

I created a companion to stay by my side
While time continued moving on without me.
He protects my heart from the disturbances,
The ones I had fallen for so willingly.

Until the time comes for this heart to be revived
My dream holds it safely and in his arms I'll hide.
