2月24日 poem written half asleep...Today, can I tell you a secret?
You've always been my biggest regret.
I was always the first one to run.
You always used to scare me senseless.
I've thought through my memories-
My life entwined with tragedies
And it's all a result of this:
Being near you left me speechless.
I know exactly what to say
In the most perfect and articulate way
But every word fades from me,
Scattered by your closeness.
So tell me a secret today-
Am I always a little late?
I knew what you were feeling
Please forgive me for being heartless...
This poem is obviously a figment of my imagination since I've never had a boyfriend lol. But nevertheless, I learn from watching dramas and reading :D lol and incorporating my life experience....anyway, enjoy :) 2月22日 new poems in February1:
As soon as I think of you
I just die again...
Again, you've faded from the past
And here you stand before me.
I'm lost again and falling fast
But this time maybe you'll catch me.
Slowly my memories take over my mind.
I know they'll never fade away.
Now I dream of the things I had left behind
But I just die again whenever you say...
"Please - don't cry though I'm leaving you
Don't ask me why I can't stay, just let me go."
Each time's the same and I'm a fool
For trying so hard to let you go.
If - you leave don't come back to me
I'm not as strong as I first seemed to be.
To remind me of you is the same
As killing me all over again.

I don't mind if you lock me away
As long as I'm still in your heart.
Though you find another, she can't take my place
Because I was with you from the very start.
I can feel the tears you still cry for me
Though I've been gone now for some time.
Just remember I'll be here in eternity
We'll reunite one day because love's not blind.

When I'm with you
I don't have to ask-
You blow the clouds away
And stars are here to stay.
When I'm with you
I live a waking dream-
You're always by my side
And we watch the ebbing tides.
When I'm with you
Everything is beautiful-
You bring out the best of me
And we sing our special melody.
I ask you what happens if I must go.
You only smile and say "It's impossible."
Even when we're apart
Our thoughts will be together.
That's what you promised and I believe you
I'll be with you forever - eternally inseparable.
4.
Let this be a wake up call
For the next time that I start to fall.
I've got to catch myself if I want to live.
I've got to stop believing love's enchanting myths.
Let this waken the logic within
And stop my heart before it spins.
From this day on you'll be locked away.
I'll begin my healing once again today.
The world smiles upon me
I don't mind being lonely
There's more to my life for now
And I'll live without you somehow.
I can save myself from a fall
I can prove I don't need you at all.

If someone tells you that next week
There could be an earthquake here,
How would you react to the news?
Instantly my heart calls to mind
All the things I would regret.
There's flashing images of all I might lose.
With recent disasters we've seen on TV,
Can anyone blame my heightened paranoia?
At this point all life seems so fragile to me.
Each sound I hear is amplified,
Each movement and tremble exaggerated.
Each minute I lie awake, I'm scared.
How can someone sleep with this forecfast
When you know dreams will turn to nightmares?
What if it leaves more than a bruise?
This poem was obviously inspired by our recent earthquake threat....I was so scared...still am....
